THE approach
What you can expect when working with Small Seeds Consulting
STAGE ONE: DISCOVERY
Schedule a Discovery Call to see if our services align with your organization’s needs. During this 30-minute call, I’ll ask a series of questions to gain a full understanding of your Development Program. If a partnership makes sense, we will send a Scope of Work & Contract your way. Let the fun begin!
STAGE two: needs ASSESSMENT
Using a custom rubric of Development Program Essentials, we will determine where your program is excelling and where you may need some support. This assessment will determine your organization’s greatest needs and how to prioritize them. This will translate to a work plan and progress tracker to keep us on target for our goals.
STAGE three: PARTNERSHIP
Now that we have determined your organization’s needs and a plan of action, it’s time to get to work! In the first few weeks, we will set a regular meeting schedule, we will send client onboarding materials your way, and SSC will meet with all necessary stakeholders. A solid partnership is critical to your Development Program success!
Systemic issues are bigger than us
Our industry is incredibly innovative, creative, and inspiring. I’ve seen individuals and teams lead the charge for some truly life-changing initiatives for people who need it most. It is brilliant to witness. Part of our approach is understanding that bigger dynamics are often working against us. How to work within that knowledge and exercise compassion for when things feel most challenging is an essential part of our consulting work.
FRAMEWORK
A hybrid approach
We adapt to changing fundraising trends while implementing best practices, all while maintaining the integrity and values of your organization’s mission.
Keep it simple & don’t recreate the wheel
We choose to look at fundraising from a less complicated point of view: We are simply asking folks to support a valuable mission in a way that works for them and benefits the organization.
If we don’t have the answers, we will find someone who does!
If SSC is not the right fit, we will help you find someone who is. If you are looking for a specific skill set that we do not have, we will be upfront about that and figure out how we can fill that gap.
Collaboration is key
Whether you’re a volunteer, board member, or staff member it is important to recognize that everyone has a role. One team or person cannot possibly have all of the connections and abilities to fund your org.
